Botswana is a country in southern Africa with almost 2 million inhabitants. Neighboring countries are Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The landscape is largely determined by high arid plains. The Kalahari desert dominates the landscape in the south and west. In the north-west lie the fertile wetlands of the Okavango delta. Furthermore plains, hilly areas and rock concentrations. There is a subtropical climate. Local sometimes desert or savanna-like climate. The capital Gaborone has 210,000 inhabitants. A monument is the National Museum & Art Gallery. Other cities are Francistown, Lobatse, Maun, Mochudi, Serowe, Ramotswa, Selebi-Phikwe, Botswana, Palapye, Jwaneng and Mahalapye. At the World Heritage list of UNESCO, the archaeological site in Tsodilo, with more than 4,500 rock drawings. Other attractions include the Moremi game reserve, the wildlife park of Chobe, the Central Kgalagadi Reserve, the Khutse Game Reserve and the Trans-Frontier National Park. Furthermore, the Okavango delta, the Makgadikgadi salt pans, the Limpopo valley and Tsodilo Hills.
A campsite or camping is a defined area which is specially designed to accommodate campers and vacationers to camp, relax or sleep on a relatively inexpensive way. A site is designed for stay in tents, caravans, campervans, folding or simple houses. It is often divided into several camping fields of grass and shelter in the form of afforestation and trees. The camp provides facilities such as toilets, showers and cleaning and washing facilities, but also provides ample room for recreational activities such as swimming pools, playgrounds, sports fields, terraces and a bar. Even backpackers often stay one night. Many campers stay for a longer time at a campsite. These people combine their stay with activities such as walking, hiking, climbing, canoeing, mountain biking, fishing and survival.
